Excursions:
Guided walking tours
A guided walking tour is a great way to see the city. Although you get a good overview of the city from the boat, a walking tour gives you a different perspective as you get to explore hidden parts and local favorites. The guided walking tours will be offered in Dubrovnik, Korcula, Hvar an Split. Your local guide will discuss all things history, architecture, art, culture and much more.
Dubrovnik cable car
One of the best ways to get a sense of size and feel of a city is from the air. It gives you a perspective like none other. This is why the cable car in Dubrovnik is so popular, and one of the best things to do in the city. The cable car takes you to the top of Mount Srd which, on a clear day, offers views up to 60 kilometers away.
Oyster harvesting
During your stay in Ston, you will enjoy an oyster harvesting excursion. The town’s coastline has bountiful oysters and, as such a delicacy around the world, it is a very popular excursion to do. Your local fisherman will guide you through the oyster harvest – from discovering the oyster beds, learning about the breeding process, watching them being harvested, and finally tasting them on a seafood platter with a slice of lemon juice.
Hvar winery tour
The island of Hvar is renowned for its expansive vineyards and deliciously-local wines it produces. Small-group wine tasting in Hvar is a great way to learn about the process and production of Croatian wine and the cultivation of indigenous grapes. Of course during your wine tour, you will get to sample many fresh local wines, whilst listening to your guide telling you each story about the vineyard to winery process.
Blue Cave
Hidden on a tiny islet of Bisevo is the beautiful Blue Cave. Accessed by islands like Vis or Hvar, this cave (which is becoming increasingly popular and busier each year), lights up with glistening blue tones when sunlight passes through the grotto during the midday sun. These luminous blue colors are stunning and you can enjoy them by swimming in the cave. This can be a day excursion.
Krka National Park
One of the most enjoyable excursions is a visit to Krka National Park. Although the walking tours around the city are iconic to Croatia, a visit to Krka gives you a different perspective as you will be surrounded by vibrant forests, lakes and waterfalls. Spend the day exploring the park, wandering through the pathways and swimming in the lakes. Especially in the summer months with warm weather, it’s a place you will fall in love with.
Mljet National Park tour
Mljet Island is a forested island sitting in the azure waters of the Adriatic Sea. What is unique about this island is that it is completely forested. The beautiful blues tones of the ocean contrast against the forest greens. A day excursion here can be accessed from Dubrovnik or Korcula and you can enjoy walking or riding bikes along the lakeside, kayaking, swimming or simply relaxing on the island shores.
