Croatia Island Hopping Cruises

Croatia’s coastline is a patchwork of over a thousand islands, each with its own rhythm, charm and secrets to share. And there’s no better way to explore them than by small ship, gliding effortlessly from one to the next without the hassle of unpacking, repacking, or navigating ferry timetables.

Croatia island hopping cruises open up a world of tucked-away harbors, sleepy island villages, and unspoiled natural beauty you’d never stumble upon on your own. Step aboard an elegant yacht-style vessel, where relaxed luxury meets the warmth of a crew who love nothing more than sharing their favorite hidden spots.

By day, you might be swimming in calm waters straight off the ship or sunbathing in quiet coves you’d never find on a map. By evening, you’ll stroll the cobbled lanes of Korčula’s walled Old Town, where Venetian towers rise above terracotta rooftops and you feel as though you’ve taken a step back in time.

Onboard, our chef prepares fresh, regional dishes that reflect the flavours of the Adriatic – simple, elegant, and full of soul. And when you’re docked for the night, there’s time to wander ashore and dine like the locals do: think grilled seafood straight from the harbor, paired with a chilled glass of crisp Pošip as the sun fades into the sea.

This is Croatia island hopping at its most immersive and memorable.

Why choose a Croatian island hopping cruise?

An island hopping cruise is not simply the easiest way to explore the coast, it’s one of the most rewarding. Rather than unpacking then repacking, checking ferry times or moving from hotel to hotel, you can settle into the journey and enjoy smooth, seamless sailing between islands.

Traveling by small ship also allows you to experience the islands of Croatia in a way larger ships simply can’t achieve. Smaller harbors and more time ashore make everything feel more personalized. You still see the headline sights, but you also get the moments in between, like the stillness of an early morning at sea, the glow of stone streets at dusk, and the feeling of arriving somewhere that still feels wonderfully untouched.

Historic towns and island discoveries

From the walled streets of Dubrovnik to the stone lanes of Korčula and the picturesque harbors of Hvar and Vis, each stop brings a unique glimpse of Adriatic life, past and present. Guided walks, local tastings, and time to explore independently create a truly unforgettable experience.

Your Croatian island cruises questions answered

For most travelers, a small ship cruise offers the best balance of comfort, access, and ease. It allows you to visit multiple islands, enjoy guided experiences and relax between destinations without the need to organize logistics yourself.

Hvar, Korčula, Vis, Mljet, and Brač are among the most popular islands for cruising. Each offers a different perspective, from historic towns and vineyards to quiet nature and striking coastal scenery.

The main season for Croatia island hopping runs from May to October, when conditions are ideal for sailing, swimming, and exploration.

Late spring and early fall are often considered the best times to go. In May and June, daytime temperatures typically range from around 68°F to 79°F (20°C to 26°C), with sea temperatures starting to warm up and fewer crowds across the islands. September and early October see similar temperatures and the sea is still pleasantly warm after the summer.

July and August are the hottest months, with temperatures often reaching 82°F to 90°F (28°C to 32°C) and lively coastal towns at their peak. While this is a great time for sun and swimming, it’s also the busiest period.
