Croatian Island Hopping Bliss

We begin our departure after you arrive at Marina Agana by private transfer from Split International Airport or your local hotel. Enjoy the breathtaking views under the Mediterranean Sun as we make our way to Milna on Brac Island, stopping to visit the incredible Blue Lagoon. A destination that postcards were made for, it boasts some of the clearest turquoise waters imaginable along with powdery soft white sands. Continuing to Milna along the north coast of Brac, this pretty village is an ideal place to enjoy fresh-caught seafood with some of the local wine like white Posip or red Plavac Mali.

Continuing our journey, we’ll sail to Zlatni Rat beach, one of the most photographed and most stunning beaches in all of Europe. Sometimes referred to as the Golden Horn for its unique shape that swirls out about a third of a mile into translucent blue waters, it’s the perfect place for a memorable swim. Afterward, we’ll head to the north coast of Hvar Island to visit the charming town of Jelsa, surrounded by mountains with idyllic beaches backed by pine trees for shade. It also boasts a romantic historical center with multiple enticing bars and restaurants for an enjoyable evening out.

We’ll continue to the south side of Hvar, visiting Hvar Town, tucked into a small bay with an early 16th-century fortress overlooking it. Climb to the top for a spectacular view of the town, harbor, and nearby Pakleni Islands, next on our agenda. The historic center is home to several other impressive landmarks, including a lovely Renaissance square, the early 17th-century St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and Europe’s oldest active community theater which opened its doors in 1612. Back onboard, it’s time to wind through the Pakleni archipelago nearby, renowned for its secluded beaches and remarkable clarity of water ideal for diving, snorkeling, and swimming.

Your charter brings you to the furthest island from the mainland coast, Vis. Its seclusion, combined with being off-limits to the public for four decades while used as a military base, Vis offers unspoiled nature with an especially tranquil atmosphere that you can enjoy while we anchor at Parja Bay with picturesque pebble beaches, dense pine trees, and stunning aquamarine water. Located near Vis Town, home to the ruins of a 4th-century BC Greek colony, you might also visit the intriguing archaeological museum, set within the former fortress of Our Lady’s battery displaying the 4th-century-BC bronze head of the goddess Artemis.

While this is the final day of the cruise, as you make your return toward Split, you’ll enjoy another highlight with a visit to beautiful Maslinica, a place that feels as if it’s been frozen in time with a wonderfully serene atmosphere. An imposing early 18th-century castle dominates, complete with towers used to help fend off pirate attacks. Today it serves as a hotel with a fine dining restaurant. We recommend strolling along the waterfront and through the picturesque narrow streets, enjoying the views and stopping to sample Maslinica’s signature products, honey, and wine, before concluding your journey.
