Small Ship Cruises from Split

The historic city of Split is the first port of call for many of our Croatia cruises. Its conveniently positioned harbor is just a few minutes’ walk from the Old Town, making trips to this beautiful seaside destination simple and stress-free.

Home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Split is well worth exploring before you set sail. Our travel experts can arrange a night or two in one of our favorite boutique hotels, giving you ample time to explore the city at your own pace. Our cruises also include tours of Split, featuring experiences such as wine tasting, oyster tasting, and fascinating walking tours led by local, English-speaking guides.

We think there’s no bad time to cruise from Split, however our cruises run from May to October, when the Adriatic is warm and conditions are ideal for smooth sailing and swimming stops.

  • May–June 68–82°F (20–28°C)
A fantastic time to cruise with fewer boats on the water, peaceful ports, and comfortable temperatures for exploring ashore.
  • July–August 82–91°F (28–33°C)
Peak cruising season with hot, sunny days and lively ports, though popular stops en route are at their busiest.
  • September 70–82°F (21–28°C)
One of the best months for cruising, with warm seas, settled conditions, and a more relaxed atmosphere.
  • October 64–73°F (18–23°C)
A quieter end to the cruising season, ideal for a more laid-back voyage with a local, seasonal feel.

We recommend arriving at least one day early. This allows time to explore the city and ensures you don’t risk missing your departure.
