DAY 1 DUBROVNIK

Begin your discovery of the Croatian coast in the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” flying into Dubrovnik’s airport. You’ll be met by private transfer upon your arrival with a short drive bringing you to your hotel in the city. After a long flight you might want to simply relax and enjoy the facilities or take a short stroll to a beach and soak up the scenery. If you’re excited to see its walled historic center, it can be a great way to stretch your legs and beat any jet lag, casually wandering the marble paved streets, popping into the shops and boutiques.

DAY 2 DUBROVNIK

Dubrovnik

Get a more in-depth look at Dubrovnik’s Old City on a walking tour by meeting our local guide at imposing Pile Gate, built in 1537. After passing through you’ll reach an inner gate that’s nearly a century older. Follow your guide to fascinating sites as you gaze up at the gothic, renaissance, and baroque architecture, learning all about the history behind landmarks like Rector’s Palace which served as the seat of the Rector of the Republic of Ragusa from the 14th century to 1808. Afterwards, ride the cable car to Mount Srd’s summit, enjoying a panoramic view over it all.

DAY 3 DUBROVNIK - STON - SPLIT

Ston

Say farewell to beautiful Dubrovnik after breakfast, meeting your private driver for transfer to ancient Split, with a delicious stop along the way. Enjoy a unique culinary experience in picturesque Mali Ston Bay, taking a short boat ride to sample the bay’s famous fresh oysters, said to be some of the world’s best, right out of the sea. Your drive will bring you to your hotel in Split, and after taking time to settle into your room you can enjoy a short stroll, seeking out one of the many restaurants and cafes for a meal, perhaps along the Riva promenade or in Diocletian’s Palace.

DAY 4 SPLIT - TROGIR

Split

A two-city tour is on the agenda today, starting in nearby Trogir. Your guide will reveal its many impressive monuments like the 15th-century Venetian castle/fortress that can be seen from the promenade along the waterfront. Marvel at the Romanesque-gothic Cathedral of St. Lawrence, the city’s most imposing monument which illustrates all the styles that succeed one another in Croatia. Return to Split to discover its incredible historic center, including the 4th-century Diocletian’s Palace with its narrow streets and alleyways. It features remarkably well-preserved traditional attributes of Roman architecture, including a domed ceiling with an oculus, composite columns, and a domed ceiling with an oculus.

DAY 5 SPLIT - SOLTA - BRAC

The sailing portion of your trip begins with private transfer to Sibenik. Your catamaran awaits here in this thousand-year-old city – hop aboard and cruise over to the Blue Lagoon on Solta Island for your first swim stop, enjoying the soft sands and spectacular clear blue waters. Continue to your destination for the evening, the village of Milna on Brac Island, know for its white limestone that was used to construct the homes and buildings you’ll see here as well as some famous structures like the U.S. White House. The veranda at the café near Marina Vlaška is ideal for dinner and a sunset.

    DAY 6 BRAC - PALMIZANA - HVAR

    Your journey today brings you to Zlatni Rat beach, often referred to as the “Golden Horn” for its unique shape that juts out about a third of a mile into dreamy turquoise waters. Afterward sail to Hvar Island, one of the most popular in Dalmatia, stopping at the country’s oldest settlement of Stari Grad, dating back over 2,400 years. You’ll meet your guide here to visit Jelsa for a tasting at one of the region’s most popular wineries. From there, head to Hvar Town for a walking tour of the historic center with time afterward for dinner along the waterfront.

    DAY 7 PALMIZANA - HVAR - PAKLENI ISLANDS - BISEVO - KOMIZA - VIS

    Blue Cave

    Your vessel will wind its way through the dazzling Pakleni islands with their stunning natural beauty, heading towards Bisevo Island. You’ll stop here to disembark and hop in a smaller boat to enter the Blue Cave and experience the breathtaking phenomenon that occurs when sunlight enters through a crack in the roof, illuminating the interior with a blue glow. Cruise on to Vis with Komiza town your overnight stop. Here you’ll be able to take in magnificent natural beauty on an island with little tourist development thanks to being closed off to the public for 40 years, used by the Yugoslav People’s Army.

    DAY 8 KOMIZA - VIS - SIBENIK - PLITVICE LAKES

    It’s time to make your return to Sibenik, about a six-hour journey from Komiza. Take advantage of those final moments out at sea to sunbathe on deck while surrounded by the gorgeous scenery once your bags are packed and ready. You’ll arrive at Sibenik after lunch, taking private transfer from here to Plitvice Lakes. Head from the coast into a mountainous area, enjoying the views as your driver does the work behind the wheel. You’ll be delivered to Hotel Degenija in the village of Seliste Dreznicko near Plitvice Lakes National Park where you’ll find several eateries within a short walk for dinner.

Begin with a boat ride across emerald Kozjak Lake and then stroll the paths and wooden walkways to view the fantasy-like scenes that have made this park so famous. Continuing to Opatija, a world-renowned resort town tucked between the sea and mountains, you might enjoy a walk along the 7.4-mile-long Lungomare promenade with the water on one side and grand villas on the other before finding an enticing spot for dinner.

The largest city in Croatia, you’ll find a mix of historic and modern. After getting settled into your hotel, take a leisurely walk to discover some of its delights, perhaps getting re-energized with coffee at one of the many trendy cafes while taking in the scene.
