Gulet Morning Star Overview
Look forward to a relaxing and fun cruise aboard the luxurious Morning Star, a newer gullet with bright colors and lots of windows for natural light. While she’s ideal for cruisers of all types, she’s a great choice for families with six spacious cabins that include two twins and two triples, great for children or teens who don’t want to share beds. An expert local crew is included and may just be one of the highlights of this vessel, dedicated to making your trip as fun and comfortable as possible. You’ll also find lots of facilities for getting active or relaxing among the stunning surrounding scenery, including a wide range of water toys.

Gulet Morning Star Cabins
The Morning Star accommodates up to 14 guests in six cabins, including two doubles, two twins and two triples, a layout ideal for families with children or groups of friends traveling together. All are well-appointed and included 12 hours of air conditioning each day, along with a wardrobe, plenty of storage space and a private bathroom. Bathrooms include a shower, toilet, shampoo, soap, hairdryer, bath and beach towels. Luxurious bed linens are included and can be changed once a week.

Gulet Morning Star Facilities & Public Areas
An impressive array of facilities and common spaces are onboard Morning Star. Your days can be spent swimming or snorkeling, with gear included, or relaxing. There are cushioned loungers for sunbathing, and a shaded area for sipping cocktails while enjoying a breathtaking view and the salty sea breeze. The gullet has a tender boat, water skis, wakeboards, paddleboards and kayaks too. The large indoor salon has a TV and DVD player, USB connection for multimedia devices, board games, cards and a laptop. It’s a great place to enjoy the passing views from indoors, as well as evening chats.

Gulet Morning Star Dining
The onboard chef is one of the most popular members of the crew, providing high quality international and Mediterranean fare on a half-board (breakfast and lunch) or full-board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) basis. Children’s discounts are offered too. Before departure, your concierge assistant will provide you with a list of the foods served on the ship so that you can let us know which items you don’t want, specify additional needs and allergy information, which will be forwarded to the chef. Bring you own drinks and pay a corkage fee or choose from all-inclusive non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverage packages. Drinks can also be purchased individually at the bar.

Meet the Morning Star Crew

Domagoj Trgo - Morning Star Captain
Domagoj is the captain and owner of the gulet Morning Star.
He attended a vocational high school to gain education as a shipbuilding technician, and then moved on attend the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Split, earning the title of shipbuilding engineer. He moved on to earn his qualification as a yacht captain for yachts up to 500 GT.
He spent the next few years working as a crew member on yachts in Croatia, focusing on nautical tourism and learning from captains with many years of experience. In the summer of 2006, Domagoj became the owner of the gulet Atlantia, and he continued gaining experience as a captain and as a host. His hard work and dedication earned him and his gulet a great reputation. In 2015, he bought the gulet Morning Star and refitted it. With a new ship, Domagoj is proving himself as an excellent captain and his guests love him because of his cheerful attitude and kind manners. Domagoj speaks English and Croatian.
His family is connected to nautical professions, so he has spent his whole life connected to the sea. From an early age, he started spending time on boats, sailing, swimming and playing waterpolo.
Nowadays, he spends most of his time working on his boat and business, but when he finds free time, he enjoys reading, spending time with friends and playing football. He is planning to get married soon, and his future wife has worked with him in his business. She has similar interests, she studied oceanography and marine research.

Ilija Babić - Morning Star Sailor
Ilija is a sailor on Morning Star.
He has been working on gullet Morning Star for several years already, a very hardworking and valuable member of our crew. Even though he was born in the ‘’land of mountains’’ and he spent most of his childhood there once he came back to Croatia his love for the sea grew stronger. Now he combines hiking and scuba diving as his hobbies.
He speaks fluent English and German so guests can rely on him at any time.

Ivan Trgo - Morning Star Sailor
Ivan is a sailor on the gulet Morning Star.
He attended vocational high school for electronic technicians. After high school, he attended the Maritime Faculty in Split, getting a degree in nautical science, and a skipper license.
He has worked on numerous ships as a sailor and waiter, in several restaurants as a waiter, and he also worked as an electrician in the Split shipyards. In the recent years, he has joined his brother Domagoj in the family business. He has been helping with designing and maintaining the ship.
During the year, he lives in Ireland, so his English is at an excellent level.
In his free time, he loves reading, music and travelling. He is a very friendly and cheerful person, and his love for travel and meeting new people makes him an excellent host and communicator.

Jure Bilandžić - Morning Star Chef
Jure is our chef and has a contagiously cheerful personality.
He was born in Sinj, a small town near Split where he also finished his education. He dedicated his life to always gaining new experiences so he even spent some time abroad to learn new skills. He worked in one of the oldest restaurants in Croatia located in Dalmatia, so he is very experienced and loves Mediterranean cuisine, especially sea food.
His hobbies are painting, statuary and photography which means his food will always look great on the plate but probably taste even better.
He speaks fluent English and has some German knowledge as well.
