MV Memories is a 53m (174 ft) long, 8.6m (28 ft) wide ‘Signature’ cruise ship, with a speed of nine nautical miles per hour. The ship is brand-new, was launched in 2020, and features the latest equipment and amenities. The ship has a maximum capacity of 38 passengers in 19 twin or double cabins, ensuring exceptional personal service. The ship’s main deck features a spacious air-conditioned dining room and bar area, with an LCD TV, a corner buffet breakfast table, and an outdoor covered lounge area.
This stunning Northern Croatia Cruise begins with your transfer from Split Airport or hotel in Split where you’ll be taken to the port in Split to board our 2021 luxury Memories vessel. Our friendly ground crew will assist you with check in as you enjoy a refreshing welcome dink and get to know your fellow guests. This evening you will enjoy a three course welcome dinner as you are introduced to your captain and crew for the week.
This morning we set off from Split whilst guests are enjoying breakfast and sail to the coastal town of Sibenik, a fabulous fortified town that was founded more than a thousand years ago on the coastal mainland. We will enjoy lunch on board with an early afternoon arrival. After we dock, join our expert local guide for a tour of the Dalmatian hinterland. Our first stop is to visit a family who produce their own homemade prosciutto, one of Croatia’s most beloved foods. You will get to not only learn about how they produce their prosciutto in a true farm to table setting but also sample some along with a selection of homemade cheeses and olive oils. We then set off to enjoy a winery tour and tasting at an award winning winery, which produces an array of very sought after wines. After this culinary feast, we will make our way back to Sibenik with free time this evening to sample the selection of excellent restaurants in this UNESCO listed town.
We set off from Sibenik and gently sail up the Northern Croatian coastline on route to Sibenik. On route, we will enjoy an extended swim stop at Galesnjak Island which is one of the most famous islands in Croatia. Google it and you will see why. Enjoy a refreshing swim in a quiet crystal clear bay near this island where you will have the opportunity to sample the boats numerous complementary water toys. Following lunch on board the boat, we will arrive into Zadar. This afternoon join our expert local guide for a guided tour of this emerging city. Enjoy exploring its historic center, including its 16th-century Port Gate and medieval walls. Visit landmarks like the Roman Forum, Church of St. Donat, the Square of the Five Wells and Dalmatia’s largest cathedral, St. Anastasia. You will also get to see two art installations that have become famous around the world along the waterfront, the Sea Organ that plays tunes using the power of the waves, and the Sun Salutation, powered by nature as well.
After an early breakfast on the boat, we set off at 8am for one of the highlights of this cruise, a guided tour of the simply breathtaking Plitvice Lakes National Park. Inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage site list in 2000, this stunning national park covers some 30,000 hectares, our private guide will take you on a journey to discover the most spectacular parts. The Plitvice Lakes boasts one of most breathtakingly beautiful array of waterfalls in the world, with hundreds of waterfalls cascading into each other throughout the park. As you meander along the wooden walkways through the park you will get to enjoy watching fresh water trout swim in its crystal clear lakes and seeing untouched nature at its very best. You will have around 4-5 hours to explore the beautiful waterfalls and lush surroundings before we make our way back to Zadar. Once on board the ship, you will be treated to a three course dinner.
This morning we set off from Zadar and we make our way to the next beautiful national park on our list, the stunning Telascica National Park. Before arrival at the park, the captain will dock in a beautiful bay where guests can enjoy an extended swim stop and get some much needed rest and relaxation after yesterdays walking through the Plitvice Lakes. We will arrive at the Telascica National Park in the mid-afternoon. Join our cruise director for a walk through the national park’s pristine surroundings which are completely untouched. Enjoy beautiful views over the inland lake and jaw dropping scenery of the cliffs that make up this stunning national park. This evening we will dock overnight on anchor and enjoy the captain’s dinner on board the boat.
Today we will set off from the Telascica National Park and sail through the heart of the Kornati National Park. This fascinating archipelago of islands provides a unique contrast with its moonlike landscape set against the backdrop of the crystal clear sea surrounding each of the islands. The captain will dock on one of the islands, so guests can enjoy some free time to explore the islands unique landscape. After lunch on board we will continue on to the gorgeous coastal town of Primosten. Regarded as one of the gems on the Northern Dalmatian coast, you will have this afternoon and evening to explore the town and enjoy dinner alfresco in a superb selection of restaurants.
On our last full day of cruising we depart from Primosten and sail down the coast back to Split. We will make a mid-morning swim stop near the island of Drvenik where guests can enjoy one last swim stop and ride on board a jetski through the beautiful crystal clear sea. After lunch we will arrive back into Split, where our local guide will take you on a guided tour of the impressive Old Town of Split. Explore the UNESCO-listed historic center, much of which is covered by the maze-like Diocletian’s Palace, built as the retirement palace for Roman Emperor Diocletian in the late 3rd and 4th centuries. You’ll get to stroll through the basement with its market stalls and glimpse plenty of remnants from Split’s Roman past along with gorgeous Renaissance and Gothic buildings. Enjoy your last evening sampling one of a myriad of excellent restaurants available in Split.
This morning, enjoy one last breakfast on board the boat before its time to bid farewell to your fellow passengers many of whom will have become new friends. The crew and the captain will be on hand to bid you a warm farewell and assist you with getting your luggage off the ship and on to a private vehicle for your onward transfer.
