Departing early for the famous Blue Cave on Bisevo Island, you can take an optional tour in a small boat to get through its narrow entrance and witness an incredible phenomenon that comes thanks to Mother Nature. When conditions are right, the sun beams its rays through a crack in the roof, hitting the limestone bottom and illuminating the interior in a surreal blue glow. (Please note that entry to the Blue Cave is subject to weather and sea conditions and therefore the entry fee of EUR30pp is payable on the day). Afterward, sail toward Hvar, with a swim stop in the brilliant turquoise waters surrounding the Pakleni islands en route. You’ll also visit a family-run winery on Hvar before anchoring in Hvar Town, with free time to explore.

Upon arrival, we’ll anchor near Korcula’s walled Old Town, where you’ll meet our local guide at one of its imposing gates. Step inside to explore the labyrinth of narrow medieval streets, alleyways, and picturesque squares. Your guide will reveal insight into the birthplace of international explorer Marco Polo and the centuries-old buildings with their Venetian influence. Highlights include the Bishop’s treasury, Arneri Palace, and St. Mark’s Cathedral with its pair of winged lions.

Once back on board, continue to Slano on the mainland, a gateway to the small, walled village of Mali Ston, best known for its delectable oysters. Here you’ll hop on a small boat to reach the heart of the estuary for an oyster tasting, sampling straight from the sea with a bit of lemon, alongside local wine. This evening, the Captain’s Dinner will be hosted onboard.

Upon arrival, you’ll get to explore within the walls with a local expert on a guided walking tour. Stroll the pedestrianized Stradun and marvel at landmarks like Rector’s Palace, Sponza Palace, and the Franciscan Monastery with its pharmacy founded in 1317, making it Europe’s oldest continuously active pharmacy. You’ll have time to explore on your own afterward, perhaps walking atop the walls before enjoying a memorable dinner in one of the many sea-view restaurants.
