Day by Day Itinerary (B-Breakfast/ L-Lunch/ T-Tasting/ D-Dinner)
Welcome to Split. You’ll be met by private transfer at Split International Airport, or if you’ve arrived earlier, your Split hotel, for the drive to your ship which will be waiting in the port. While your cabin will be ready from 1pm on, feel free to drop off your bags before that time so that you can enjoy exploring the city. You might want to check out one of the many interesting little shops found throughout the 4th-century Diocletian’s palace, or do some people watching while unwinding with a drink on the seaside Riva promenade. Otherwise, get settled in, relax and take advantage of some of the luxury facilities on board. Return to the ship before 7pm to mingle with your captain, crew and fellow passengers at the meet-and-greet welcome cocktail reception followed by dinner.
TROGIR (B, L)
This morning you’ll get an in-depth look at the maze of streets and alleyways in Split’s historic center on a guided tour, including magnificent wonders from the Roman era and impressive Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Our cruise will kick off by sailing to Trogir afterwards. In this living open-air museum and UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll discover its many delights on another fascinating tour. That includes parts of the ancient walls that still remain intac and the 13th century Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral of St. Lawrence that houses the Renaissance Chapel of St. John, boasting sweeping vistas from its bell tower.
BOL - HVAR (B, L, T)
Our next stop as we cruise this morning will be to Bol Town on Bisevo Island. One of the most famous beaches in Croatia, and Europe, is just steps away, renowned for its striking beauty. You can enjoy a dip in the crystal-clear turquoise waters off its shores or explore the village, relaxing with a cup of coffee as the world goes by. Back onboard the ship, we sail on to picturesque Hvar with its superyacht-filled harbor, vineyards and aromatic lavender fields. Upon our arrival, join a wine tasting tour one of the island’s most popular family-run wineries in the small town of Jelsa and then take in the dazzling view from the top of the Spanjola Fortress upon our return.
BLUE CAVE - VIS (B, L)
One of the highlights on the itinerary for many, we sail to the small island of Bisevo this morning. It’s home to one of Dalmatia’s most breathtaking natural wonders, the Blue Cave. When the rays of the sun pass through an opening in this sea grotto, its interior is bathed in an ethereal blue light. That memorable experienced will be followed by a stay on one of the most remote and tranquil islands in the country, Vis. Once a critical Yugoslav naval base, it was only opened to commercial tourism in recent years, offering the chance to immerse yourself in authentic Croatian life. Try one of the exceptional local wines at a traditional winery, explore the stone streets of Vis Town or take a stroll along the waterfront admiring the country villa known as Villae Rusticae.
KORCULA (B, L)
Enjoy the stunning surrounding scenery, including the glistening Adriatic and enchanting bays as well sail to picturesque Korčula. Just behind its magnificent Gothic-Renaissance St. Mark’s Cathedral is a stone building that’s made it world-famous as the spot where international explorer Marco Polo was born in 1254. Learn more, and marvel at lots of beautiful medieval buildings on a guided walking tour. Afterward, you can choose to join us on an optional excursion that will bring you to feast on a local Croatian meal while discovering more about the traditional ways of life in the country. Or, if you’d rather, head to one of the many outstanding local eateries in town to sample Korcula’s tasty fare.
MLJET - SLANO/STON (B, L, T, D)
We’ll journey south-east to another one of Croatia’s most captivating islands and its national park. Mljet Island is considered to be the greenest in the country, covered by dense pine forest and home to two emerald-hued saltwater lakes. You’ll be able to enjoy strolling their shorelines before returning to the ship and traveling to our next destination, the small traditional village of Slano on the mainland. The walled village is the gateway to the fortified village of Ston, renowned for its delectable oysters. Tour the medieval ramparts of Slano before embarking on a short walk along the coast to an oyster farm for a fresh oyster tasting while learning more about the shellfish. Back on board the ship, the Captain’s farewell dinner with live entertainment will be hosted this evening.
DUBROVNIK (B, L)
You’ll want lots of time to enjoy the final destination of your cruise, Dubrovnik, so we’ll depart early, and spot to say around the exterior of its grand city walls before docking in Gruz Harbour. Once on land, you’ll take an inspiring tour with a local guide to marvel at the ancient buildings, still nearly all intact just as they were during the time of the old Dubrovnik Republic. We’ve also arranged for your admission to the Dubrovnik City Walls, so you’ll be able to stroll atop their 6,365-foot-long expanse, circling the historic center too. You may want to celebrate the end of your cruise with dinner in one of the rooftop eateries afterward.
KOTOR, MONTENEGRO (B)
Your cruise officially comes to an end after breakfast this morning, with time for farewells to your fellow shipmates, now new friends, along with goodbyes to the captain and crew. The next portion of this exciting trip starts with private transfer to Croatia’s eastern neighbor, Montenegro. You’ll enjoy a scenic drive to the Old City of Kotor that was founded by the Romans, a magnificent walled UNESCO-protected site. Along the way, a stop will be made so that you can taste delicious red and white wines paired with light snacks at the Savina family winery, all while surrounded by spectacular views of lush greenery and the bay below.
PERAST, MONTENEGRO (B, L)
This morning you’ll get a closeup look at what’s behind those stone medieval walls that surround Kotor on a guided tour. It’s one of the most well-preserved in the Adriatic, filled with medieval palaces, churches and cathedrals, along with a number of interesting museums. Next, journey to pretty Perast and its unusual Our Lady of the Rocks, a tiny manmade island in the bay that houses a church and museum while bringing lots of fantastic photo-ops.
You’ll have the day to do as you please, and there’s lots to enjoy in this area. You can choose to relax and explore independently or join a guided tour to Skadar Lakes, while it’s actually made up of three lakes, it’s often considered as one, known as Southern Europe’s largest lake. It boasts incredibly clear waters while being a birdwatchers’ paradise and a place of beauty with dramatic mountains, island monasteries and floating meadows of water lilies.
