The MS Splendid was locally built in Split for the 2014 season, according to high EU standards. She’s the perfect size for cruising the Croatian coast at 126-feet-long and 26-feet-wide, providing the comforts of a yacht with 18 elegant cabins and a capacity of up to just 40 passengers that makes for a much more personalized, tranquil experience.
The 126-feet-long and 26-feet-wide MS Splendid has a standard cruising speed of nine knots and offers the ultimate small-ship experience with a capacity for up to 40 passengers, ensuring a highly personal, uncrowded experience. She has 18 comfortable air-conditioned cabins, with 6 on the upper deck, 4 on the main deck, and 8 on the lower deck, ranging from 108- to 129-square feet and an expert crew that is sure to make the excursion unforgettable.
All cabins on the MS Splendid are en-suite, with private bathrooms including showers, toilets, sinks, and hair dryers. The standard, lower deck cabins have a porthole, while main and upper deck cabins feature two windows, one in the bathroom and a larger window in the main cabin. All are soundproofed and feature an internal audio system for captain and cruise director announcements, a small sofa, nightstand, wardrobe, desk, and chair, and essential safety features like a fireproof door, fire alarm, lifejackets, and emergency lights.
The MS Splendid offers complimentary Wi-Fi and lots of common areas for relaxation and mingling, like the spacious restaurant with a bar area that includes an LCD TV, a covered lounge area with comfy sofas, and an expansive sundeck, complete with enough loungers for every passenger and a bubbling hot tub that’s ideal after on-land exploits. There are two fully-covered terraces, one on the main deck and one on the upper deck, with tables and chairs – windows open for enjoying the awe-inspiring scenery but can be closed in less than pleasant weather conditions.
Cruising on the MS Splendid means dining on half-board meals, including a daily breakfast buffet, seven 3-course set lunches, and a lavish captain’s welcome dinner on the first evening. Complimentary fresh fruit and bottled water is offered daily, while the bar provides a good selection of beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks available for purchase with the total paid at the end of the excursion. There’s no need to pack your formal attire as all dining on the ship is enjoyed in a casual, relaxed setting with no formal dress code.
