The MV Ave Maria which made her maiden voyage in the summer of 2018, is a 161-foot-long deluxe superior vessel that offers an elegant experience without the high price tag. The MS Aurelia is a luxury vessel built in 2019/2020 with state-of-the-art equipment. The ship holds a maximum of 38 passengers in 18 twin or double cabins, including 8 VIP upper deck cabins each with their own private balcony, 2 main deck cabins with picture windows and 8 lower deck cabins, with portholes. Enjoy a welcome drink and refreshments, with embarkation anytime from 1 p.m. on. This afternoon, join our expert local guide for a tour of the beautiful historical town of Split. Join a welcome meeting and cocktail reception at 7 p.m. You’ll learn more about what to expect on this unforgettable excursion and get an introduction to your captain, the crew, and your fellow passengers before enjoying a three-course dinner.
We set sail whilst guests are enjoying breakfast towards the beautiful Old Town of Trogir. Before our arrival though it’s time for your first swim stop of this trip in a quiet secluded bay. You will enjoy lunch on board before arriving in Trogir and docking directly in the town’s picturesque harbor. Enjoy the afternoon exploring this wonderful UNESCO-listed town which is often compared to Venice with its medieval streets, magnificently preserved castle, and beautiful marina. Trogir is full of charming restaurants and quaint bars, the perfect spot for your first dinner off the boat.
Our cruise will bring us sunny Hvar this afternoon, one of the most popular islands in Croatia, but first we’ll make a stop on Brac Island where you’ll have the opportunity to swim from the shores of one of the most stunning beaches in all of Europe, Zlatni Rat, a long stretch nearly surrounded by breathtaking turquoise water. Or if you prefer, you can explore the town of Bol. Once back on board, we continue our journey to Hvar enjoying views of hidden coves and sparkling bays along the way. Upon our arrival, join a wine tasting tour at a popular family-run winery in the small town of Jelsa.
We continue to the peaceful island of Vis which due to its secluded and isolated position, has a unique charm. On route, we will sail through the beautiful Pakleni Islands which are known for their stunning bays and crystal clear coves. The captain will dock in one of these coves for an extended swim stop giving guests time to sample some of the water toys on board the boat. We then continue to Vis Town, situated on the northern side of the island. Arriving at Vis in the mid-afternoon, you’ll have the rest of the day at your leisure.
We have an early start this morning as we set off from Vis and head to the Island of Bisevo, home to the magical Blue Cave. Enjoy a guided tour inside this beautiful natural phenomenon and marvel at the beautiful colors which will leave you mesmerized. Please note that entry to the Blue Cave is subject to weather and sea conditions, which is why it’s listed as an optional tour with a EUR20pp entrance fee payable on the day. We then sail on to the island of Korčula, which is best known as the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. Relax and admire the stunning secluded bays en route. This afternoon you will arrive on the island and you will have a guided walking tour of the charming Old Town. The picturesque fortified town, ruled by Venetians in the past, has an ingenious layout in the shape of a fishbone.
Mljet is the next island on our agenda, a favorite for many as one of the greenest and most beautiful in all of Croatia. You’ll have time to explore its famous saltwater lakes on your own, including Great Lake, with tiny St. Mary Islet in the middle home to an ancient Benedictine monastery. Cruising on to the mainland, we’ll visit the traditional fishing village of Slano, the gateway to the enchanting fortified village of Ston. It’s renowned for its oysters, a delight you’ll get to taste after we wander around the medieval ramparts. A short walk will then take us to an oyster farm to sample the delicacies along with fresh mussels. Back on board, this evening is reserved for the Captain’s Dinner with the feast complemented by live music and entertainment.
The final destination of our cruise brings us to the enchanting walled city of Dubrovnik. We’ll sail around those ancient walls for a dazzling view from the water before pulling into port. Meet up with our local guide who will reveal the ancient pedestrian-only Old Town, filled with magnificent treasures, including impressive architecture with Gothic and Renaissance influences. You’ll have time to explore leisurely on your own, perhaps taking a walk atop the defensive walls which brings spectacular panoramas of the historic center’s endless red-tiled roofs, the Adriatic, and the Elaphiti Islands. Celebrate your trip with a fine meal and a glorious sunset view afterward in one of the rooftop restaurants.
With departure day here, disembarkation is at 9 a.m. Take time for goodbyes this morning, perhaps joining some of your fellow shipmates at breakfast before a private transfer brings you to Dubrovnik Airport or your local hotel.
