We set sail whilst guests are enjoying breakfast towards the beautiful Old Town of Trogir. Before our arrival though it’s time for your first swim stop of this trip in a quiet secluded bay. You will enjoy lunch on board before arriving in Trogir and docking directly in the town’s picturesque harbor. Enjoy the afternoon exploring this wonderful UNESCO listed town which is often compared to Venice with its medieval streets, magnificently preserved castle, and beautiful marina.
Today we depart from Trogir early and set sail to the peaceful island of Vis, famed for its seclusion and isolation. The island was once used as a military base and therefore out of bounds to tourists, so it has maintained a beautiful untouched uniqueness. We will arrive in Vis in the mid-afternoon with free time for guests to explore the picturesque town of Vis with its charming sea front cafes and labyrinth of quaint streets.
At 9 pm tonight, we’ll leave Vis behind and head to a secluded bay untouched by city lights. We’re turning off the ship’s lights, creating the perfect stargazing setting. Imagine being surrounded by pure darkness, with only the brilliance of the stars overhead. It’s a celestial spectacle you won’t want to miss—a serene escape into the beauty of the night sky.
We set off before breakfast for the nearby Island of Bisevo, which is home to the magical Blue Cave. If the weather is good, you will enjoy an optional guided tour inside this beautiful natural phenomenon and admire the beautiful colours, leaving you feeling mesmerized. (Entry to the Blue Cave is subject to weather and sea conditions and therefore the entry fee of EUR20pp is payable on the day). We then continue sailing through the beautiful Pakleni island archipelago, with an opportunity to swim in this stunning secluded bay on route. We will arrive on Hvar Island in the afternoon, with a fascinating Hvar Island tour planned. The first stop on this tour is an opportunity for you to sample locally produced wines at a stunning family run winery.
Tonight we’ll head out into the fields surrounding Jelsa to get a vantage point for stargazing and planetary observation. What makes this experience even more special is Jelsa’s prestigious status as an International Dark Sky Community—the first town in Croatia and indeed southern Europe to be recognized as such.
With an early morning departure from Hvar Island today, we slowly make our way to Korcula. On route, the captain will do a scenic sail past one of Europe’s most famous beaches, the Golden Horn Beach, known in Croatia as Zlatni Rat. We will continue our journey on to Korcula, where we will have a swim stop in the afternoon shortly before arriving in Korcula. On docked, join our guide who will take you through the narrow, cobbled streets to view the impressive Venetian-gothic architecture and learn more about the alleged birthplace of explorer Marco Polo along with reason for the fishbone layout of the streets. Korcula has an abundance of good restaurants where you can enjoy an authentic Dalmatian gourmet experience. There are also many lively bars and clubs within walking distance of the harbour.
The next morning we continue to cruise further south towards the island of Mljet. On arrival you can join the cruise manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes, situated in the heart of the stunning Mljet National Park. A boat ride to the St Mary Isle, to visit the ancient Benedictine monastery, an old abbey, and church dating back to the 12th century, is also recommended. After lunch, we sail on to the enchanting village of Slano. Slano is a peaceful traditional fishermen’s village and the entrance point to Ston, another fortified small village that is famous for its oysters. After exploring the town’s historical medieval ramparts a short coastal walk will take you to an oyster farm, where you can sample fresh oysters and learn more about this delicacy. The evening is reserved for the Captain’s Dinner with live music and entertainment.
