Day by Day Itinerary
Fly into Split International Airport and then take private transfer to the port of Split where our elegant vessel will be docked. You can board throughout the day, although your cabin will be ready at 1pm, so if you arrive earlier, our helpful crew can stow your bags allowing you to explore the ancient city or relax on the beach unencumbered. Be sure to be on board by 7pm for the welcoming meeting which includes introductions to the cruise director, captain and crew followed by a multicourse dinner.
TROGIR (B, L)
Before we set sail, your morning will be enjoyed on a guided tour through the fascinating Old City of Split, focused around the maze-like complex of the 1,700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO-protected site jam-packed medieval and ancient Roman architecture. After we dock at Trogir, you’ll take another walking tour with our guide through this “living town museum,” a UNESCO World Heritage Site with mesmerizing landmarks like the North Gate, Trogir Ciovo and the ornate Cathedral of St. Lawrence, originally constructed in the early 13th-century. Afterward you’ll have leisurely time to take advantage of Trogir’s vibrant dining and nightlife scene.
BOL - HVAR (B, L)
Our cruise will bring us sunny Hvar this afternoon, one of the most popular islands in Croatia, but first we’ll make a stop on Brac Island where you’ll have the opportunity to swim from the shores of one of the most stunning beaches in all of Europe, Zlatni Rat, a long stretch nearly surrounded by breathtaking turquoise water. Or if you prefer, you can explore the town of Bol. Once back on board, we continue our journey to Hvar enjoying views of hidden coves and sparkling bays along the way. Upon our arrival, join a wine tasting tour at a popular family-run winery in the small town of Jelsa before returning to Hvar for a guided walking tour of this beautiful Old Town.
BLUE CAVE - VIS (B, L)
We’ll depart early this morning to enjoy another highlight of our trip, the Blue Cave. Entering the narrow entrance with a smaller vessel, you’ll experience the magical phenomenon that occurs when the sun’s rays beam into the interior through a crack in the rock, illuminating it in a surreal blue glow. Our final destination for today is unspoiled Vis, an island often referred to as the “Mediterranean as it once was,” with little tourism development thanks to being closed off to the public for many years while used as a naval Yugoslav base. You’ll have the rest of the day to enjoy it at your leisure, wandering through the ancient streets, perhaps visiting the City Museum with its archaeological treasures.
KORCULA (B, L)
Sailing on to beautiful Korcula, perhaps best-known as the reputed birthplace of international explorer Marco Polo, enjoy relaxing with the endless view of the sea and secluded bays. We’ll anchor near the historic center of walled Korcula Town, often referred to as a mini-Dubrovnik with its wealth of impressive medieval architecture. Take a walking tour through this fairytale-like place with our local guide who will reveal the stories behind the sights and reveal the reason why the streets are arranged in a unique fish bone pattern. Those who are up for a fun and authentic evening can join an optional traditional village party, complete with local entertainment.
MLJET - SIPAN ISLAND OR SLANO (B, L, D)
Mljet is the next island on our agenda, a favorite for many as one of the greenest and most beautiful in all of Croatia. You’ll have time to explore its famous saltwater lakes on your own, including Great Lake, with tiny St. Mary Islet in the middle home to an ancient Benedictine monastery. Cruising on to the mainland, we’ll visit the traditional fishing village of Slano, the gateway to the enchanting fortified village of Ston. It’s renowned for its oysters, a delight you’ll get to taste after we wander around the medieval ramparts. A short walk will then take us to an oyster farm to sample the delicacies along with fresh mussels. Back on board, this evening is reserved for the Captain’s Dinner with the feast complemented by live music and entertainment.
DUBROVNIK (B, L)
This morning we’ll wind through the beautiful Elaphiti archipelago as we make our way to the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” Dubrovnik, our last Croatian stop. We’ll sail around the medieval stone walls so that you can capture photos of its exterior from the water, including the Old City and imposing fortifications. Inside join a tour led by our expert guide to marvel at landmarks like the Pile Gate, Sponza Palace and Rector’s Palace. If they look familiar, that’s probably because you’ve glimpsed them while watching the hit “Game of Thrones” TV series. Enjoy a grand finale by hopping on the cable car to the top of Srd Mountain which brings a jaw-dropping 360-degree panoramic view over the rooftops of the city, the sea and nearby islands.
While your cruise has come to an end, the better news is that you’ll soon be on your way to Greece. After goodbyes to the captain and crew, you’ll be met by private transfer for the short ride to Dubrovnik Airport and your flight to Athens. You’ll meet your driver upon your arrival to Athens International Airport for the trip to your hotel in the city.
This exciting day begins by walking back in time to ancient Greece, widely considered to be the birthplace of western civilization. Follow the footsteps of the greats, like Socrates while marveling at the Temple of Zeus, the Acropolis and Parthenon and wandering through the ancient Agora, before private transfer brings you back to Athens Airport. From there, you’ll catch a flight to the bucket-list island of Santorini, welcomed by your driver at Santorini Airport, who will bring you to your 4-star hotel.
Wake up on this remarkably beautiful island with its blue-domed churches and whitewashed buildings that spill down the rim of the ancient caldera. As it’s also renowned for its wines, we’ve arranged for you to explore its unique viticulture on a tour which includes sampling many of the wines the island produces like Assyrtiko and Vinsanto Nykteri. You’ll sip them with delicious local delicacies on this excursion that ends right along the dramatic caldera cliffs at Venetsanos Winery where you’ll witness Santorini’s famous sunset.
If you’d rather, you can relax and just enjoy soaking up the view all day, but you’ll have the option to make the most of your time on Santorini with a tour of the ancient city of Thera. It sits along a mountain ridge and was inhabited from the 9th-century BC through the early 8th-century AD, named after the mythical ruler of the island, Theras. Look forward to more stunning sea views along with fascinating attractions like a large portico, agora and a theater that dates back to the 2nd-century.
The day is yours to enjoy on Santorini, perhaps joining a cruise to sail around it, admiring the caldera from the sapphire waters of the Aegean, or simply relaxing and swimming off one of the black volcanic sand beaches like Aghios Nikolaos. One thing you won’t want to miss is being at the most iconic spot for the island’s world-famous sunset, Oia village. Afterward, enjoy drinks and dinner along the water just below in Asoudi Bay. You might want to cap off this unforgettable trip in the capital of Fira, toasting to the experience in one of the cocktail bars that enjoy a breathtaking Caldera rim setting.
As departure day has arrived, your Croatia and Greece tour concludes with your private transfer to Santorini Airport and the flight back to Athens International Airport.
