Day 4 TROGIR - VIS

This morning our yacht departs early from Trogir and sails to the Island of Vis, which is regarded as one of Europe’s most hidden gems. The island of Vis was once used as a military base for the Yugoslavian army and therefore it was out of bounds to tourists. This isolation has helped the island retain its off-the-beaten-track charm. On route to Vis, our captain will find a suitably picturesque swim stop for guests to take a refreshing dip. Once we arrive in Vis, guests will have free time to explore the quaint streets of Vis which is home to charming seafront cafes and a stunning marina. Those who are looking to enjoy gorgeous sunset views can take a 25-minute walk up the hill to enjoy sunset drinks at Fort George, which has sublime sunset views over the island.

The Blue Cave is a stunning natural phenomenon that will leave you truly mesmerized. (Please note that entry to the Blue Cave is subject to weather and sea conditions and therefore the entry fee of EUR30pp is payable on the day).Afterward, sail toward Hvar, with a swim stop in the brilliant turquoise waters surrounding the Pakleni islands en route. Upon arrival, we’ll anchor near Korcula’s walled Old Town, where you’ll meet our local guide at one of its imposing gates. Step inside to explore the labyrinth of narrow medieval streets, alleyways, and picturesque squares. Your guide will reveal insight into the birthplace of international explorer Marco Polo and the centuries-old buildings with their Venetian influence. Highlights include the Bishop’s treasury, Arneri Palace, and St. Mark’s Cathedral with its pair of winged lions.

Cruising on to the mainland, we’ll visit the traditional fishing village of Slano, the gateway to the enchanting fortified village of Ston. It’s renowned for its oysters, a delight you’ll get to taste after we wander around the medieval ramparts. A short walk will then take us to an oyster farm to sample the delicacies along with fresh mussels. Back on board, this evening is reserved for the Captain’s Dinner with the feast complemented by live music and entertainment.

We’ll sail around the medieval stone walls so that you can capture photos of its exterior from the water, including the Old City and imposing fortifications. Inside join a tour led by our expert guide to marvel at landmarks like the Pile Gate, Sponza Palace, and Rector’s Palace. If they look familiar, that’s probably because you’ve glimpsed them while watching the hit “Game of Thrones” TV series. You’ll have time to explore on your own afterward, perhaps walking atop the walls before enjoying a memorable dinner in one of the many sea-view restaurants.
- Excursions Included:Guided walking tour of Dubrovnik
