  Accessed from nearby islands like Vis and Hvar, the Blue Cave is on its own small island and is one of the most visited attractions in southern Croatia. The cave itself is a waterlogged sea cave and the reason for its name is that during midday, when the sun is at its highest point in the sky, reflections of sunlight shine into the cave and create a vibrant blue background.
