Shaped by sun, sea, and centuries of trade, these remarkable landscapes offer a vivid glimpse into a tradition that defined local life and wealth. The experience continues with a tasting of freshly harvested oysters, briny and delicate, served straight from the waters that have long sustained this coast. Then, as the day unfolds, step beyond the old town walls for a dinner centered on peka, Croatia’s beloved slow-cooked specialty, prepared with time, care, and deep-rooted tradition. Hvar, an island of fragrant lavender hillsides, sun-washed stone, and vineyards rooted deep in the past. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a swim stop followed by arrival at unspoiled Vis. It’s often called the “Mediterranean as it once was,” as the furthest island from the Croatian mainland, with limited tourist development. The day includes a military tour of the island’s Cold War tunnels, revealing a side of Vis that many Adriatic itineraries overlook. Along the way, you will gain insight into the island’s restricted status until the 1990s and how that seclusion preserved a distinct identity.

Your visit includes the magnificent Cathedral of St. Lawrence, home to Radovan’s Portal, one of Croatia’s most revered artistic treasures. Here, every carved detail and weathered stone invites you into the timeless elegance of Dalmatia’s past. You’ll return in time to prepare for this evening’s Captain Dinner, hosted on the ship.
